After our 75° high temperature yesterday, we'll only get warmer from here. The warmest air yesterday was in Missouri! St. Louis hit 83° and Kansas City 85°. With some sun today, we’ll take a run at 80°. Breezy SW winds keep us dry until later this afternoon/evening when a powerful fall cold front arrives. No outdoor weather issues for the majority of today.

If we hit 80° today, it will be the 8th time this month. A given October usually sees three days of 80s on average. We've seen 80° high temperatures as late as November 1st, 1950. Given the powerful fall front heading our way, this will likely be the last 80° reading of the season.
