CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - The Freedom Festival has announced its theme for the 2026 celebration: ‘Party Like It’s 1776′.

Organizers said the theme commemorates America’s 250th anniversary and celebrates the Festival’s 43rd year as a nonprofit organization.

The 2026 Freedom Festival will take place June 25th-July 4th, 2026.

In a press release, Executive Director Brittany Barnhart said, “We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate America’s 250th birthday than by throwing a community-wide party that truly captures the spirit of freedom. This year will be about honoring our past, celebrating our present, and looking forward to our future together.”
