DENVER (KDVR) -- The Regional Transportation District said it is taking steps to prepare for an expected large presence of demonstrators in downtown Denver Saturday.
The agency said light rail and commuter rail services to Denver Union Station will continue as scheduled — as long as it is safe — and that it has "several" contingency plans that can be "readily implemented" if an external event disrupts its fixed route bus and rail services.
RTD said that in the event Union Station is closed for safety reasons, connections will not be provided to the facility, but that services will continue to operate along the remainder of each individual rail line.
