MADISONVILLE, Ky. (WFIE) - Drivers traveling through the U.S. 41A improvement project area in Madisonville should be prepared for changes to traffic patterns that begin this weekend.
Crews are transitioning traffic that has been using a temporary diversion between Tucker Schoolhouse Road and Modern Supply back onto the mainline.
At the same time, transportation officials say a new diversion will go into effect extending east from Tucker Schoolhouse Road toward Madisonville.
The project will upgrade approximately 3.3 miles of U.S. 41A, from Yorkwood Place to Industrial Drive, tying into previously completed widening work between Yorkwood Place and U.S. 41/North Main Street.
