It seems impossible that it's Week 9 of the high school season already and yet here we are. With playoff positioning on the line there were some important performances this week that demand your attention.

It's Friday Night Hero voting time! But before we delve into this week's candidates, let's take a look back to who you voted for last week.

You went to the defensive side of the ball and voted for Palm Desert free safety Angel Rangel. Rangel broke open their game against Rancho Mirage with a 36 yard interception return for a touchdown that he tipped to himself to give Palm Desert a 17-0 lead midway through the second quarter of a 31-7 victory.
