The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has made a second-quarter payment totalling $547,741 to the City of Greater Sudbury for hosting Gateway Casinos Sudbury.

The payment covers the July 1 to Sept. 30 period.

So far, during OLG’s fiscal year (April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026), Sudbury has received $1.14 million under the program. Since the gaming site opened in November 1999, Sudbury has received more than $53 million.

These payments to host communities are based on a formula in the Municipality Contribution Agreement with the provincial government that is consistently applied across all land-based casino sites in Ontario using a graduated scale of gaming revenue at the hosted site.
