A man has died after police said he was found shot inside a Philadelphia home early Saturday morning.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department, on Saturday, October 18, 2025, around 5:21 a.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting inside a residence located on the 1100 block of South 54th Street.

Upon arrival, police said a man was found suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries at 7:44 a.m.

Police said at this time, the motive behind the shooting is unknown, and no arrests have been made. The department's homicide unit is investigating the incident.
