LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - A peaceful assembly is being held Saturday in downtown Lake Charles in coordination with the nationwide movement called “No Kings.”
Organizers say over 250 have registered so far to participate. The assembly runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
The No Kings movement is a series of demonstrations across the U.S. against what demonstrators describe as authoritarian policies from President Donald Trump.
This is the second wave of demonstrations organized by No Kings.
Millions are expected to turnout across the country.
