GREENSBORO, N.C. — Twenty-five years ago, she was known only as “Baby Doe,” found abandoned under a stairwell at a Greensboro apartment complex. Today, Angel Thomas is a college graduate, entrepreneur and rising Christian hip-hop artist.

Thomas, who was adopted and raised in Gibsonville, turned tragedy into triumph. She was crowned Miss Teen Greensboro and later named first runner-up for Miss Teen North Carolina.
In 2022, she graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University as class president, earning a degree in aeronautics with minors in business and occupational safety.
