MISSION, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The City of Mission is hosting a spooktacular and paw-some event for everyone to enjoy.

The family-friendly "Paws and Pumpkins" event is taking place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. tonight at the Mission Animal Shelter, located at 227 Abelino Ferias Street.

Families are encouraged to bring their pets dressed up in their best Halloween attire to enjoy an evening full of spooktacular activities, pumpkins and games.

The event will feature pumpkin patch photo ops, pet-friendly activities, adoption opportunities from the Mission Animal Shelter, and fall-themed crafts and treats.

The celebration is free and families, pets and children are encouraged to attend in their best Halloween costumes.
