Alzheimer’s disease not only hurts people affected by it.
It also hurts the people who care about them.
Families including Stephanie and Greg Hall of Graytown, Ohio, know first hand.
“I remember just going to visit her… and every five minutes, her not remembering your name,” Mr. Hall said of his grandmother, who died from the disease.
The pair were among more than 80 residents, many with similar experiences, who walked to raise funds for free educational programs, resources, and research. They did so during the Alzheimer’s Association Northwest Ohio Chapter’s annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s at Glass City Metropark on Saturday.
The fundraiser was one of more than 600 Walk to End Alzheimer’s fundraisers being hosted across the country.
