NEW BERN, N.C. (WITN) - The Eastern North Carolina chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association held its annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s event in New Bern.
Over 300 people attended and honored those impacted by Alzheimer’s with a promise garden ceremony. Walkers carried flowers of various colors representing their personal connections to the disease.
Actor Rob Morgan served as the host of today’s event.
$56,000 has been raised so far. Money raised at Saturday’s walk funds research, risk reduction, and early detection, and provides quality care and support for all impacted by alzheimer’s and other dementias.
