OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) - Tensions and conversations surrounding rights and free speech took center stage today in Ocala as two separate groups gathered with opposing messages.
In Downtown Ocala, a protest drew the attention of over 1000 people who participated in the “No King” protest.
Many held signs and cheered as cars honked in support of the event. The “No Kings” protest is part of a larger movement, with more than 2,000 events taking place across the country.
Bethany Mills, a protester, said, “All these people coming together and showing that this is not okay in our country. That it will hopefully get things moving forward and change.”
