The weekend will get underway with more pleasant weather across the region. Saturday's afternoon temperatures will be 15 or so degrees warmer-than-the average with a good deal of sunshine and a noticeable breeze. It'll certainly be the better day for outdoor activities this weekend!

A strong storm system is set to roll across the Great Lakes region Sunday, and clouds will thicken as the morning wears on. By midday, a band of showers is likely to push through eastern Ohio and into western Pennsylvania; this band will be accompanied by wind gusts of 40+ mph and possibly some thunder. The wind gusts may be high enough to lead to a scattering of power outages. Behind the band, temperatures will fall through the 60s and a few more raindrops are in the forecast.
