The storm system I’ve been tracking with you is right on Michigan’s door step. Here are three weather conditions we will encounter with this storm system.

The storm system will actually strengthen over Michigan, making a large area of steady, moderate-to-heavy rain overnight and Sunday morning. Since most of Michigan is in significant drought , a few inches of rain in the heaviest rain areas won’t cause major ground flooding. There could be flooding at low-lying intersections that don’t drain properly.

There will also be an hour or two period of strong wind gusts moving through southeast Michigan.

The Storm Prediction Center has also added a small part of southeast Michigan into a severe weather risk.
