BEAUMONT, Texas — The Southeast Texas Impact Initiative is holding a rally called "No Thrones, No Crowns, No Kings" at Rogers Park Saturday afternoon as part of a national movement that first gained momentum in June following President Donald Trump's military parade in Washington, D.C.
Millions across the country are participating today in the second round of a nationwide protest movement, with Southeast Texas residents gathering this afternoon from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The initial June demonstration coincided with the Army's 250th anniversary celebration and the president's birthday.
"In America we don't put up with would-be kings. Our peaceful movement No Kings is more than just a slogan, it's the foundation our nation was built upon," said Southeast Texas Impact Initiative.
