Crash Fire & Rescue crews are responding to a report of an aircraft incident near Taxiway A-5 at Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) on Saturday afternoon.
According to air traffic control communications, a Boeing 737 reportedly ran off the runway, producing a large amount of smoke. RSW Tower later confirmed there was no active fire or visible smoke at the scene.
According to WGCU News, emergency crews remain on site. Passengers are being evacuated and transported off the runway in buses. There were no immediate reports of injuries.
