JANESVILLE, Wis. (WMTV) - A Janesville man was arrested on Saturday and is facing multiple charges, including threats and battery to law enforcement, after an officer was injured during the arrest.
Janesville Police reported that a man, who was not associated with the ‘No Kings’ protest happening at the Marvin Roth Community Pavilion on Saturday, was in the courthouse area when he engaged in disorderly and aggressive behavior.
Due to the protest, S Main St was closed between E Court St and St Lawrence Ave to vehicle traffic.
JPD says the man was demanding access to the closed parking garage and verbally berating officers.
The man allegedly resisted arrest, causing a minor hand injury to a law enforcement officer.
