BOWLING GREEN — Turnovers, penalties, and an inefficient offense led to arguably the worst loss of the season for Bowling Green State University’s football team on Saturday as the Falcons fell to Central Michigan 27-6 in a Mid-American Conference game at Doyt Perry Stadium.
BGSU (3-4, 1-2 MAC) couldn’t continue its momentum from last week’s thrilling come-from-behind home victory over Toledo in front of a sell-out crowd. Central Michigan improved to 4-3 (2-1).
The Falcons had two interceptions, one of which led to an easy touchdown for the Chippewas, and three turnovers on downs. BGSU also had four unsportsmanlike conducts and three personal fouls among their season-high 15 penalties.
