Dhanteras 2025 wishes and Images: Dhanteras will be celebrated on Saturday, 18 October, marking the start of the Diwali festivities. It is celebrated on the 13th day of the waning lunar cycle of Krishna Paksha in the month of Kartik. The festival is all about prosperity and good fortune.

The day is dedicated to Lord Dhanvantari, who is said to have come out of the Samudra Manthan carrying a pot of nectar. Devotees therefore pray for health, wealth, and happiness, making gold, silver, or utensil purchases that represent the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Kuber.
