The University of North Florida community was expected to gather Saturday evening to celebrate the life of Hunter Ford, a student who died in a motorcycle crash earlier this month.
According to a post on Ford’s social media page, the event was set to start at 6 p.m. at the UNF arena garage.
“Please stop by whenever you can. keep saying what up to your pookies and carry on his positivity!” the post says.
Ford was a 21-year-old UNF student who died in a crash on Oct. 8.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, Ford lost his life in a motorcycle crash on Town Center Parkway. Investigators said Ford’s motorcycle collided with a car making a left turn at an intersection. Ford was thrown from the bike and later died at the hospital.
