YORK, Maine — A person was rescued from York Harbor Friday afternoon after their boat had apparently overturned.
The York Fire Department was alerted around 12:01 p.m. that a boat had overturned at the mouth of the harbor, according to a social media post from the department.
Crews responded to York Harbor within minutes, quickly locating the boat. The person was reportedly holding onto the overturned boat when crews arrived, the department said.
The individual was taken back to shore where they were evaluated by EMS.
Maine Marine Patrol assisted York fire.
