LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Community members came together Saturday morning for the Las Vegas Heart Walk at Aviators Stadium, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars to support lifesaving research and education.
Organizers say roughly 2,000 walkers participated in the annual event, raising more than $329,000. The funds will go toward advancing cardiovascular research, expanding CPR education and training, and promoting health equity for communities across the country.
During the event, attendees had the chance to learn Hands-Only CPR, a key part of the American Heart Association’s “Nation of Lifesavers” campaign. The initiative aims to double survival rates from cardiac arrest by 2030 by equipping more people with the skills and confidence to act in emergencies.
