Playboi Carti has been charged with misdemeanour assault in Utah, according to law enforcement officials. Authorities say an incident occurred on 2 October in Park City, when the rapper's limousine driver alleged he was assaulted while driving the Whole Lotta Red singer to rehearsals. According to TMZ, Reynolds reportedly told police an argument took place in the vehicle involving Carti, born Jordan Terrell Carter, and his girlfriend, and that he intervened during the dispute. Reynolds claims that during the incident, he was struck, that Carti's head of security became involved to separate them, and that another driver for the company witnessed the alleged altercation. Police from Wasatch County responded to the scene and documented Reynolds' injuries. The department has confirmed that it is investigating the matter. This isn't the first time the Wokeuplikethis singer has found himself in legal trouble. Back in 2017, he was arrested for domestic battery, and two years later, fined for assaulting his tour bus driver in Scotland. In 2020, he was busted in Georgia after police found drugs and firearms in his Lamborghini. He was released on bond the following day. In late 2022, he was arrested on a felony assault charge for allegedly choking his pregnant girlfriend.
