WOODSTOCK, N.Y. — Filmmakers Yoruba Richen and Julia Bacha and actress Melissa Leo discussed the age-old issue of censorship of films, book bans, and other related issues during a Woodstock Film Festival panel at the Kleinert/James Center for the Arts on Saturday.
The panelists said that while censorship has long been an issue, it has come to the forefront in recent years, especially since the return of President Donald Trump to the White House after the 2024 election.
