The last cruise ship of the season will set sail out of Victoria’s harbour Saturday evening, which the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority is calling a success in terms of numbers.

At 7:30 p.m., Saturday the Norwegian Encore will arrive for a short port stop, allowing passengers roughly four hours to stroll along Wharf Street, peruse the downtown shops and eateries, before returning to the ship for its 11:59 p.m. bon voyage.

The Greater Victoria Harbour Authority (GVHA) says Victoria’s 2025 cruise ship season saw 311 harbour calls, bringing a total of 990,000 passengers and 377,000 crew members to the city between April and October.

Despite heightened tensions between Canada and the U.S., the GVHA says the number of arrivals this year closely resembled 2024’s season, which saw 316 calls
