AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - People in Augusta came together to clean up parts of the city on Saturday.

City Serve Augusta is an organization that’s been around for about 10 years.

It puts projects in motion to help beautify Augusta, and there were six projects to choose from on Saturday.

For example, painting over graffiti in the Saint Sebastian tunnel to cutting back bushes around the nature walk.

The director of City Serve spoke about what makes this community service so important.
