A spark was reignited in the Providence Bowl high school football rivalry, and it came off the leg of a kicker in the waning seconds as Hickman defeated Rock Bridge 13-10 on Friday, Oct. 17.

With just seconds remaining, the Kewpies' coaching staff called for the field goal unit. Sophomore kicker and defensive back Cadic Sutton came onto the field to do something that hadn’t been done in over a decade ― beating Rock Bridge. The operation was clean. Everything that Sutton repeatedly repped in practice was perfected, and the 21-yard field goal sailed between the uprights.

The Kewpie faithful went jubilant with three seconds to play.
