FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The No Kings movement held its second round of protests in Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley on Saturday despite heavy thunderstorms.
No Kings is a grassroots group opposing what it views as authoritarian actions by President Donald Trump, according to its website. The first round of protests in June targeted Trump’s 79th birthday events and immigration raids, with organizers accusing him of using the day to boost his ego and escalate tensions.
“On October 18, millions of us are rising again to show the world: America has no kings, and the power belongs to the people,” the movement’s website read.
