PERRY, Ga. — As of around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, the boil water advisory has been lifted for Perry.
The city said in a social media post that "follow-up testing did not detect any microbial contamination."
The advisory was still under effect in Perry Sunday afternoon. The original advisory was issued Saturday evening.
The advisory applied to water customers located south of North Perry Parkway.
An update from the city on social media said that "staff is working to identify specific streets or neighborhoods through additional water quality testing."
They said that if water will be consumed, boil it. That means, if you're using it for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth, it should be boiled.
Tabitha Clark, communications director for the city, said that using water to shower is safe.
