ALEXANDER CITY, Ala. (WRBL) - The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) says a pedestrian was killed Friday night in Tallapoosa County after being struck by an unknown driver of a vehicle who left the scene.
Troopers say the crash happened around 10:15 p.m. on Oct. 17 along Alabama 259 near the 12-mile marker, about one mile south of Alexander City.
57-year-old Jerry L. Partee, of Alexander City, was standing in the roadway when he was hit. Partee was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and vehicle involved have not been identified.
