CLEMSON, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - As three-year starting quarterback Cade Klubnik works through an ankle injury , Clemson has announced redshirt sophomore quarterback Christopher Vizzina will replace him as the starting quarterback for today’s game hosting SMU.

Klubnik has started the past 34 games for Clemson, but that streak will end for Saturday’s game hosting SMU in a rematch of last season’s ACC Championship.

Klubnik injured his ankle in the third quarter of the Tigers’ 41-10 win at Boston College Saturday, walked to the sideline with a noticeable limp and did not return with Clemson ahead 34-10 at the time and the game well in hand.

His replacement, Vizzina, has played in three games this season and completed 7-of-14 passes for 37 yards along with one interception on a fourth-dow
