The United States has warned of a possible imminent attack on Gaza, citing credible intelligence that Hamas may violate the ongoing ceasefire agreement.

In a statement, the US State Department said Saturday that it has “credible reports” indicating Hamas could launch an attack targeting Palestinian civilians in Gaza. The department added that such an act “would constitute a direct and grave violation” of the peace agreement brokered by President Donald Trump to end the two-year war between Israel and Hamas.
