Over 2,000 people showed up to the “No Kings” rally in Fairbanks on Saturday afternoon demonstrating against the Trump Administration along with over 2,600 locations across the U.S.

People lined up along Airport Way from Peger to Wilbur street holding signs, dressed as frogs, chickens and dinosaurs and chanting, “This is what democracy looks like!”

Demonstrators gathered in response to what they see as unjust federal overreach and amassing federal cuts to programs like public media and Medicaid. They also discussed the federal shutdown which began Oct. 1.
