BLOOMINGTON — Indiana football coach Curt Cignetti told reporters after a 38-15 win over Michigan State that he had to be the bad guy during the week to get his team focused for the game.

The message he delivered at the start of the week about ripping off the rear view mirror didn't land the way it needed to coming off a historic win over Oregon.

After what multiple players admitted was a sloppy Thursday practice, Cignetti gathered the No. 3 Hoosiers (7-0, 4-0 Big Ten) to make sure they understood he wasn't pleased with their lack of focus.
