CINCINNATI — Defender Nick Hagglund, Evander Da Silva Ferreira and Brenner Souza all scored and Roman Celentano was untouchable as FC Cincinnati claimed second place in the Eastern Conference with a 3-0 Decision Day victory over CF Montreal on Saturday.
Hagglund found the net for the first time this season to give Cincinnati (20-9-5) a 1-0 lead in the 33rd minute. It was his 10th goal in 231 career appearances.
Evander, who collected his 15th assist on Hagglund's netter, set a career high with his 18th goal in his first season with the Crew for a 2-0 lead in the 56th minute. Hagglund picked up his first assist this season on the score.
