Mark Scheifele set a team record, and the Jets improved their overall record in a 4-1 triumph over the Nashville Predators on Saturday night.

Scheifele’s first period power-play marker at 2:39 set the franchise points record for the Jets 2.0 organization at 813. The record of 812 was previously held by Blake Wheeler.

“Obviously, I’m tremendously honoured,” Scheifele said. “I’m still trying to catch another guy (Hawerchuk). For that one, it will be cool.”

Dale Hawerchuk scored 929 points as a member of the original Jets.
