GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) -Volunteers spent their Saturday morning lending a helping hand across Green Bay during the annual Rake Up Green Bay event, hosted by the Volunteer Center of Brown County.

From 9 to 11 a.m., volunteers of all ages gathered to help local homeowners with fall yard cleanup — a tradition focused on community, compassion, and connection.

Even Mayor Eric Genrich joined in, saying the event is about neighbors supporting neighbors.

“There’s just some folks that maybe can’t keep up with some of the maintenance, the raking that’s associated with owning a home,” said Genrich. “Taking care of that doesn’t take a lot of our time to be able to do that, but it means a lot to our residents...
