HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Locally breezy trades are expected for Sunday. Showers will fall mainly on windward areas, but the winds may be strong enough to push some showers to leeward sections.

There’s a First Alert for more showers in the week ahead, with a disturbance to the northeast enhancing incoming moisture, starting with Hawaii Island and Maui Monday and Tuesday and the western half of the state Wednesday and Thursday.

Surf along north and west shores will decline Sunday. A hurricane-force low will generate a swell that could bring waves to advisory levels late Wednesday into Thursday.

Some small south to southwest swells will keep some small waves coming in for south shores, while the breezy trades will bring choppy surf for east shores.
