Aussie young gun Senna Agius has made history with victory in his home Moto2 race, leading every lap at Phillip Island.
Agius took the lead in the first corner and while he lost it to pole-sitter Diogo Moreira after running wide on lap 3, he retook the lead into Stoner Corner.
The 20-year-old then dashed away leading by as much as six seconds.
It was the first ever home win for an Australian in Moto2, and Agius’ second after winning at Silverstone earlier this year.
Casey Stoner, Mick Doohan, Wayne Gardner, Jack Miller and Garry McCoy have also all won in Australia.
David Alonso finished second with Moreira in third.
