A shocking surge in fly-tipping incidents across Coventry has sparked urgent calls for action.
Latest stats revealed 2,191 cases were reported between April and June this year - representing nearly a third of the total 6,428 incidents recorded over the previous 12 months.
At a full council meeting, Coun Marcus Lapsa demanded to know what measures were being taken to combat the problem.

He said: "Fly-tipping is a blight on normal society. Out of 6,428 incidents, we have only prosecuted three per cent. This leaves 97 per cent of people who have got away with it. They will continue to do it if they get away with it 90 per cent of the time."
