Suddenly, the Windsor Spitfires look better on the road than at home.

The Spitfires have now dropped back-to-back games at the WFCU Centre after Saturday’s 5-3 loss to the Sarnia Sting.

“You want to win all your games at home,” said Spitfires’ captain Liam Greentree, who returned to action after a three-game suspension. “They’re huge games and it’s a lot easier playing on home ice than it is away, especially in playoffs.

“These points are huge, so giving up a game like that is tough, but they happen and we just have to make sure they don’t happen often.”

Windsor tied for the most wins at home last season with 29 wins in 34 games. The club is now 4-1-1-0 at home while boasting a 6-1-0-0 mark on the road.
