The City of Roswell held it's annual Equipment Road'eo Saturday at the old airfield off of West College Boulevard, allowing city employees and other equipment operators a chance to show their skills with such things as backhoes and front end loaders.

“This is a good thing, it's safety related,” said Roswell Mayor Timothy Jennings. “We wanted to recognize people's skills.”

With two massive American flags hoisted from bucket trucks fluttering high above, and numerous pieces of equipment — from waste management trucks to the Roswell Air Center's new aircraft rescue and fire fighting vehicle staged nearby — dozens of brightly jacketed officials documented the efforts participating equipment while operators control their huge machines.
