COLUMBUS, Ga. — GIAA softball playoffs have concluded in Columbus, GA. Several local squads earned a trip to the tournament. Check out the Central Georgia Round up:
Class A
Twiggs fell to David Emanuel in round one 10 to 0 and was eliminated by Robert Toombs in the second game.
Fullington fell to Crisp in round one 8 to 0, beat Westwood to stay alive, but was ultimately eliminated by Thomas Jefferson Friday morning.
Class AA
Brentwood entered the tournament as the top seed and finished as state runner-up in 2024. Brentwood earned a spot in the state championship game from the winner's bracket and participated in a rematch from last season against Southwest Georgia, but the War Eagles were beat in both games Saturday, losing the final matchup 11-8.
