AMHERST, Mass. — The UB Bulls pulled off a nail-biting win on the road Saturday, defeating the UMass Minutemen 28-21 in a dramatic finish.
The game, deemed the inaugural "Flagship Cup” between the two schools, saw both teams trade blows throughout the first three quarters.
Buffalo would ultimately win it all thanks to a gritty 4th quarter effort. With 2 minutes to play, the Bulls would convert on 4th and 10 from their own 35-yard line, march down the field, and score on a 16-yard strike from Quarterback Ta’Quan Roberson to Victor Snow with just 19 seconds remaining.
UB wide receivers shone during Saturday's game:
Quarterback Ta’Quan Roberson finished the day 36‑of‑55 for 403 passing yards, with two touchdowns.
