Israel identifies the remains of one more hostage while 9 Palestinians are killed in Gaza City

TEL AVIV, Israel (AP) — Israel says the remains of Eliyahu Margalit, a hostage handed over by Hamas, have been identified. Margalit, 76, was abducted on October 7, 2023, when Hamas attacked Israel. He is the tenth returned hostage since the ceasefire began over a week ago. Hamas has handed over an eleventh body, but it wasn’t a hostage. The hostage forum says Margalit's return brings solace to his family, but they won’t rest until all 18 remaining hostages come home. Meanwhile, Hamas accuses Israel of violating the ceasefire after nine Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire in Gaza City.
