Fans who attended Kent State University’s homecoming football game on Oct. 11 got a “twofer” in which the Flashes were matched against their new Mid-American Conference foe University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
The Flashes won, 42-6, as Kent State scored six touchdowns to UMass’ two field goals.
Besides watching a resurgent football program, it was also an opportunity to watch a better than 260-member Kent State Marching Band perform at halftime. The opener contained “Sugar We’re Goin’ Down” by Fall Out Boy and “Misery Business”
