Community members drove through the streets for a ride dedicated to the 12-year-old girl whose remains were found last week.
Jeep owners, known as Jeepers, came from all over the state and beyond to New Brite Plaza, bringing balloons and writing messages on their cars for 12-year-old Jacqueline “Mimi” Torres-Garcia.

Her remains were found last week in a plastic storage container and then her mother, Karla Garcia, and two others were arrested in connection to her death.
Victor Nieves with East Hartford-based Neutrales Jeep Crew and his wife came out to support Jacqueline's family.
“It's something that we felt we had to do, without a doubt," he said. "It affects everyone, whether you own a Jeep or not.”
