Kapurthala/Sultanpur Lodhi, October 19, 2025 (Yes Punjab News)

Rajya Sabha Member and environmentalist Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal has gifted stainless steel water tanks to 25 villages in the Kapurthala and Jalandhar districts as a Diwali gift. These tanks were dispatched from Nirmal Kutia Sultanpur Lodhi and Seechewal.

MP Sant Seechewal shared that a year-long series of events will be held to mark the completion of 25 years of service dedicated to cleaning the sacred Kali Bein.

As part of these celebrations, the water tanks are being distributed to villages. So far, using ₹7.5 crore from his MPLAD (Member of Parliament Local Area Development) fund, he has distributed 215 water tanks across rural Punjab.
