CORVALLIS — With a lower-division team in town, a new interim head coach and coaching duties shuffled, Oregon State football finally claimed its first win of the season.
The Beavers gave a home audience at Reser Stadium something to cheer about; and cheer, they did. A relentless band, shirtless college students swinging their shirts around and an antsy-to-celebrate crowd watched as Oregon State asserted its dominance over Lafayette, a Football Championship Subdivision school from Pennsylvania.
Oregon State defeated Lafayette, 45-13 on Saturday, Oct. 18. It’s the program's first win since defeating Washington State nearly 11 months ago.
